Proposed Tram & Pedestrian Precinct in Des Voeux Road Central

The Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP), the MVA Hong Kong consultancy, City University of Hong Kong and Civic Exchange published a report proposing to revitalise the Central district and convert Des Voeux Road Central, between Pedder Street and Morrison Street, into a green “tram and pedestrian precinct”. The report is a practical proposal which could significantly impact both the image and the poor roadside air quality in Hong Kong’s Central Business District.
