This paper proposes that over the next 30 years, transport in Hong Kong should become essentially entirely fuelled by electricity generated from renewable sources. Hong Kong’s transport is proposed to be electrified in part by a major increase in passenger rail services. This is nothing new – what is entirely new in this paper is that the rest of the passenger transport system should also be electrified.
