Ms Simran Sawhney
Simran Sawhney is a Research Assistant at Civic Exchange, where she focuses on carbon neutrality policy issues for the HK2050isNow initiative. Ms Sawhney has an extensive background in research and policy analysis and has prior experience with think tanks in New Delhi and Toronto, covering issues such as the Belt and Road Initiative, territorial disputes regarding natural resources in the South China Sea and the Arctic Circle, and the need to approach climate change as a human rights issue. Her research interests include critical development studies, the effects of climate change on the global south, and international political economy. Ms Sawhney holds a BA (Hons.) in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in Contemporary Asian Studies from the University of Toronto.
