Jane Chan is the research co-lead for Civic Exchange’s project on the legal framework for net-zero in Hong Kong. In 2020, she led Civic Exchange’s research into comparative approaches for net-zero target setting and assisted with communications/social media. Miss Chan has also previously worked with English Schools Foundation to lead a solar installation and consult with senior management on integrating sustainability through their governance structures. She has further work experience with The Nature Conservancy, Asia Debt Management Capital Foundation, the World Green Organisation, and Green Monday. She is currently a LLB student with University College London and the University of Hong Kong, where she is Executive Chair of UCL’s Pro Bono Committee, member of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association, and a legal research assistant for reviewing immigration routes for refugees in Afghanistan.
