政府需要合適的工具來衡量香港的宜居環境的進展，並指出可改善之處。思匯就社會議題進行了多項研究，範圍從社會不平等到福祉，包括比較香港、新加坡和上海的城市福祉指標。

亞洲城市福祉指標是一項民意調查，旨在衡量市民對城市生活的態度。報告涵蓋受訪者對十項政策領域的關心程度和滿意度，包括住房、醫療、教育、工作和商業機會、交通和公用事業、環境保護、社區和歸屬感、公共安全和犯罪控制、娛樂和個人時間，以及政府質量。
