Kuo Chuan Kung is the founder and managing partner of Asian private equity firm Nexus Point. Prior this, he co-founded MBK Partners, a private equity firm, where he was partner and head of greater China. He was previously a managing director of the Carlyle Group and a member of the investment committee for Carlyle Asia Partners. Mr Kung started his career as a management consultant with McKinsey in Hong Kong and New York. He serves on the finance committee of the board of Hong Kong’s Urban Renewal Authority, the Harvard Business School Asia-Pacific advisory board, the board of the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College and the board of United World College-USA. He was born in Taiwan and raised in both Taiwan and Hong Kong. He received a BA degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
