Are China and the U.S. Switching Roles on Climate Change?
13th September 2017 @ 12:45 pm - 2:00 pm
Civic Exchange Fellow Simon Ng and American academic Robert Gottlieb are the co-authors of “Global Cities: Urban Environments in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and China”.
Mr Ng and Prof Gottlieb will discuss the world’s environmental challenges from two distinct points of view: one American and one Asian.
This debate comes on the heels of President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw America from the Paris Accord, a landmark 2015 pact to fight climate change. At the same time, China has taken the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to becoming a world leader in green energy.
