A one-day public forum to focus the air pollution debate in Hong Kong on health-based facts and science was well received on 10 January 2009. More than 584 people registered and 425 delegates attended the conference. Participants came from all walks of life including scientists, health professionals, academics, lawyers, engineers, businesses, financiers, officials from government and authorities (regional and national), legislators, civil society groups, philanthropic foundations, university and high-school students, as well as concerned Hong Kong residents.
